Simple trial on a point attractor. The distance from point to the grid points at the plane generates the value of circle radius and extrusion height of cylinders. This test remind me to this trial did in the past: ParamSurf01

Extrude to point02
Another test in order to create a basic square prisms on the lines that tessellate the surface. The height of prisms follows the normal parameters to the surface through the area centroide of shape tesseleted. The test was conducted with the help of Andrea Graziano from DigitAG& for the definition of normal axe in grasshopper. You can find the definition for test it.
